Conference "How to Improve
Academic Cooperation among the
New post Yugoslav States"
has been organized on October
12-13, 2004.
The Fulbright Alumni Association
of Serbia and Montenegro was honored
to welcome American ambassador
Mr. Michael Polt, Deputy Prime
Minister of Serbian Government
Mr. Miroljub Labus, Fulbright
alumnus from Slovenia, Macedonia,
and Bosnia and Herzegovina, many
representatives of NGOs, professors
and friends.
The most of participants were
enjoying the event and meeting
with their Fulbright fellows.

reception at the Embaasy of the
USA in Belgrade |

| On
March 6, 2003 the Ambassador of
the USA, William D. Montgomery,
has organized a reception at the
Embassy, in honor of the Fulbright
Alumni Association. More than 50
Fulbright and Ron Brown Alumni attended
the reception. |

| Meeting
with the Alumni of Montenegro, the
founding of the Fulbright Alumni
Association Office in Podgorica |

| On
September 20, 2003 the Fulbright Alumni
Association of SCG, the American Embassy
in Belgrade and the American Consulate in
Podgorica organized a gathering followed
by a dinner/cocktail at the hotel Crna Gora
in order to acknowledge the re-establishment
of the Association and to officially affiliate
Montenegrin Fulbrighters, Ron Browners and
Hubert Humphries to the Association. The
meeting was attended by Alumni of all three
Programs from Montenegro, by the representatives
of the Association in Belgrade and the representatives
of the American Consulate in Podgorica. |

| Annual
Conference of the Fulbright Alumni
Association in Washington, DC |

| The
Vice-president of the Association,
Dejan Erić, attended the Fulbright
Association's 26th Annual Conference
and the 2003 Fulbright Prize Ceremony
and Reception held on October
31, - November 2, 2003 in Washington,
DC. The theme of the Conference
was "Fulbright Exchanges:
Advancing Knowledge and Mutual
Understanding" and more than
200 participants from over 20
countries had attended the event.
Important contacts were made during
his stay in Washington. On behalf
of the Association, Dejan Erić
used the occasion to acknowledge
the Association in Washington
with the initiative of the Association
of Serbia and Montenegro to celebrate
the 40th Anniversary of the Fulbright
Program 1964-2004. |
